The 42nd Annual Seymour Apple Festival; located only 30 miles east of Springfield, Missouri on US 60 highway, will be September 11, 12, and 13, 2014. The Apple Festival is totally FREE...no admission to get in or anything; but what you eat, drawings or crafts you buy. The weekend is open outside event, with family entertainment day and night bring in 15,000+ people from all over in 3 days. Some families even make this their time to have family reunions. Over the three day event you can be entertained with 100+ craft and various vendors, FREE live entertainment, and on Saturday enjoy a 5K run, parade, Johnny Appleseed contest, decorated bike contest, serval apple contest and auction, apple peeling contest, apple princess contest, and so much more. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets & get ready for a great weekend of tons of fun for all ages!! In order for everyone to enjoy the festival please keep these few things in mind. Don't park on private property without consent from the owner. Don't block access to streets or driveways. Don't park to close too the railroad tracks. Don't block emergency vehicles' driveways. Don't park in emergency-vehicle parking areas. Only use handicap parking if you have the appropriate documentation on your vehicle. And Don't park your vehicle and sit in it while a passenger goes to get something while blocking other motorists.
